“Hibiscus Flowers”. This piece was designed by Nyah Kiok herself, inspired by her front yard hibiscus and assimilating the majestic Burung Hong, the Chinese phoenix that often symbolises luck and elegance. Outlined in earthy Lasem red with a touch of yellow and blue, this design is amongst the first 8 designed we revived from Nyah Kiok’s old collections, following the discovery of her original drawing templates.
